The driveshaft itself becomes the sensor, up to ±5,500 Nm, with no intermediate component.
The Melectric Side-Shaft torque measuring system is a high-precision answer to real-time torque measurement on propshafts in motorsport and the automotive industry. It was developed specifically for applications that need a compact build, high measuring accuracy and rugged construction.
Unlike other systems, this one needs no separate amplifier, because the signal processing is already fully integrated. That takes up less room and makes installation easier.
Measurement data from the driveshaft
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| Measuring range | ±5,500 Nm, or adjustable to the customer |
| Outputs | CAN bus and analogue |
| Signal bandwidth | Standard 1 kHz, optionally up to 10 kHz |
| Temperature range | −40 to 125 °C |
