The measuring point moves inside the hollow shaft. Outside, the installation space stays as it was.
Torque measurement in hollow shafts: compact, dependable sensor technology
Melectric sensors measure torque directly in the rotating axis of a shaft, through a suitably placed bore, taking up almost no room and losing none of the precision. Excellent signal stability and IP69K protection suit them to industry, agricultural machinery and automotive and motorsport applications.
Measurement data from inside the hollow shaft
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| High overload capability | for demanding applications |
| Measuring ranges adjustable to the application | beyond ±5,000 Nm |
| High IP rating | up to IP69K for use in harsh environments |
| Temperature range | −40 to 125 °C (optionally −40 to 160 °C) |
| Space-saving integration | directly inside hollow shafts, with no external housing |
