The MGU-K (Motor Generator Unit – Kinetic) and MGU-H (Motor Generator Unit – Heat) are essential components in hybrid drive systems for motorsport and the automotive industry. Torque measurement in these systems is crucial for optimizing energy transmission, regulating recuperation and fine-tuning power output.
Melectric offers two basic sensor concepts for these applications:
Internal measurement in the hollow shaft – Direct measurement within the rotating axis for maximum accuracy.
Surrounding measurement around the shaft – External measurement to detect torque changes without direct modification of the shaft.
